Final Reflection

A lot of people think they know all they need to about the internet. But there are many things that can assist you while you are on the internet, and just make things more interesting. In this class we learned how to make an igoogle page,  use advance searches, make voicethreads, make google presentations, use diigo, and we picked up on any small things we may not have known.
Last year in honors english we used voice thread so I already knew what it was. Like most people in the class, I did not want to use it again. Last time I had used it it was an awful experience, and it never quite worked right. Luckily this year I had no problems, and I learned exactly how to work voice thread. Now if I ever have to use it again I will know what I am doing.
Something new that I learned was how to make google presentations. This is helpful because you can allow a lot of people to view the presentation without them being there. It was a better experience than having to stand in front of a projector and give a presentation. Everyone could see the whole slideshow and follow along. It would be nice to give more presentations this way.
I also learned how to use diigo. This is a good tool for finding websites and saving them. Diigo lets you bookmark sites so you can get there quick and put labels on them so you know what your looking at. If I was playing a game on addictinggames.com this would help because I could go right to it. I wouldn't have to type in the address and then go find the game I want.
Although I don't use the internet as much as a lot of people, I do still use it. The things I learned in this class will make the time I spend online easier, faster, and more enjoyable.
